Hello, I'm Abdul Ghafoor Sayyed, and I welcome you to my website. Here's a bit about me and what you can find here.
Background
I am based in the suburbs of London, in a town called Reigate, located in Surrey Hills, UK. I have a passion for learning and exploring various subjects in the world of science. My interests span a wide spectrum, from physics and cognitive psychology to software engineering and neuroscience. I hold a BSc in Science with majors in physics, mathematics, and statistics. Additionally, I have two Post Graduate Diplomas, one in Cognitive Psychology and another in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience.
My first interaction with computers was during the era of 5.25-inch floppy disks and 8-bit processors. I was fascinated by the possibilities of computing and its potential to solve complex problems. This fascination led me to pursue a career in applied physics, where I learned BASIC language. After one year of studying, I dropped out from the course and started teaching physics. Later on, when I started my first post-graduate diploma, I was introduced to C and C++. During this course in Cognitive Psychology, I took C++ as an optional subject along with computer vision. This introduced me to the world of programming and software development, which I have been exploring ever since. I also completed a module in software engineering from the University of Oxford in Object-Oriented Programming, learning Java.
These days, I am excited about diving into the world of machine learning to create models that can benefit various businesses and advance artificial intelligence. Coding is a significant part of my life, and I enjoy developing hybrid apps for both mobile and desktop platforms. Additionally, I use the Hugo static site generator to create and manage my website. My primary goal is to share my knowledge and experiences on my dynamic website.
Current Focus
At present, I am dedicated to understanding machine learning and data science using various tools. I am also exploring the endless possibilities of data and the insights it can provide. You will find some of my coding projects and findings here.
Beyond Science and Technology
Apart from my scientific interests, I am deeply fascinated by spirituality. I enjoy delving into the intricacies of human existence and how various religions utilize spirituality to influence individuals. It is a journey of understanding how we are constructed and how belief systems shape our lives.
Hobbies and Interests
In addition to my professional pursuits, I have a keen interest in swimming and exploring nature. Swimming helps me stay fit and relaxed, while exploring nature allows me to connect with the environment and find inspiration in the beauty of the natural world.
